DJ FILTH BIOGRAPHY
Garth has
always had a love for electronic music it dates back to his younger days when
his father use to be a wedding DJ, Garth use to tag a long with his father
which is where he learnt the basics of mixing music. From the age of 16 Garth was involved in his
local bars in his home town in South Africa playing cheesy commercial music to
a young crowd.
He then
moved to London at the age of 20 and got heavily involved in the London
clubbing scene he used to really enjoy Hard House music which then progressed
to Trance and then which finally led to his great passion and love for Electro
House. You could catch Garth in all the
biggest clubs in London on the dance floor throwing shapes to some very big
dirty bass lines that electro house is known for.
This is when
he realized that being an international DJ and performer is really what he
wants to do. He purchased his first pair
of Pioneer CDJ 800’s for home 1 year ago and since then he hasn’t looked back. Mixing became part of Garth’s daily schedule
he would never miss a day or a chance to get behind his decks at home, this is
when he found a great website called www.mixupload.com which is a place to share his mixes
with people around the world and to get feedback and to feature in there weekly
mix charts. DJ Filth is now a really
well known name on the Mixupload website and has built up a huge online fan
base of people that love his dirty filthy beats that he drops in his monthly
album called Electric DJFILTH, he has had a few of his albums/mixes finish the
week in the number 1 spot in the Mixupload mix charts.
Since then
Garth has been pursuing his DJ Career with everything he has, he has recently
been playing gigs at various clubs in London.
Garth breathes
eats and dreams about music every day it is his life and he has a huge drive
for becoming a success in the DJ industry.
